Stuart Locksmiths started in 2009 with one van, one technician, and a simple idea: Martin County deserved a locksmith who actually showed up on time and charged a fair price. Fifteen years later, we've completed over 4,800 jobs across Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, and Port St. Lucie.

How We Got Started
Our founder, a Stuart native, spent 8 years working for a large security firm before going out on his own. The reason? Too many customers getting upsold services they didn't need by technicians rushing to the next call.
The first year was tight. One lockout call at 2 a.m. off US-1, a referral from that customer the next week, then another. Word spreads fast in a town like Stuart. By 2013 we had 3 technicians. By 2019, we'd outgrown our first shop near the Sailfish Marina.
Stuart grew. We grew with it.
Licensed, Insured, and Accountable
Every technician at Stuart Locksmiths holds a current Florida Class D Locksmith License through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. We carry full general liability insurance and are bonded on every job.
This matters more than most people realize. Florida law requires locksmith licensing, but plenty of outfits operate without it. If an unlicensed tech damages your door frame or lock cylinder, you have no real recourse. With us, you do.
We pull permits where required and follow ANSI/BHMA grading standards when recommending hardware. Grade 1 for exterior residential doors. Always.
What We Actually Believe In
Flat-rate pricing, quoted before we touch anything. No "trip fee plus labor plus parts plus surprise charges" games that show up on your invoice.
If we can fix your existing lock instead of replacing it, we'll tell you. A $45 rekey beats a $200 new deadbolt installation every time when the hardware is still solid. That's the kind of advice a friend gives you, not a salesperson.
We also don't subcontract. The person who answers your call and the person who shows up at your door are both Stuart Locksmiths employees. Background-checked. Uniformed. Driving a marked vehicle.
Our Service Area
We cover all of Martin County and parts of northern St. Lucie County. That includes Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, Indiantown, Port Salerno, and Rio. Average response time in Stuart is 19 minutes. Outlying areas like Indiantown run 35-45 minutes depending on traffic on SR-76.
